The Paradoxes project arose from Tessa's fascination with sleek as well as organic forms. As part of her jury assignment for the SABK in June 2026, she consciously chose to force simple creations into a natural flow through detailed finishing.

 

Besides the tension between sleek and organic, she also explores other contradictions: light versus shadow, rough versus smooth, round versus square, and so on. By integrating these contrasts, she aims to explore how opposing qualities can not only confront but also reinforce each other.

 

This theme aligns closely with Tessa's professional background as a coach, in which she guides her clients, in embracing their conflicting motivations or desires.
